KTC to Host Employment Seminar on the ADA and Washington Disability Law
On May 21 the KTC Employment Relations Department will host another installment of our breakfast seminar series. In this seminar we will explore the Americans With Disabilities Act (“ADA”) and Washington Disability Law. It will be a practical discussion of what it really means to “reasonably accommodate” an employee and what the “interactive process” principle actually requires employers to do. Other topics will include how to respond to an employee’s request for accommodation, whether and how to request documentation from an employee’s doctor, how to document the interactive process, and more. Kathy Feldman will speak at this seminar. Ms. Feldman is the most recent addition to our Employment Relations Department. She counsels employers on matters such as sexual harassment, discrimination, wage and hour requirements and more. She has developed innovative strategies to help clients reduce the likelihood of litigation. To learn more about Kathy, view her bio.
