Jacquelyn Beatty to Speak at 31st ACI National Forum on Bad Faith Claims and Litigation

Jacquelyn Beatty, a Shareholder at Karr Tuttle Campbell and member of the firm’s Insurance Coverage practice group, will be speaking at the American Conference Institute’s (ACI) 31st National Forum on Bad Faith Claims & Litigation on July 27 and 28 in Chicago. Ms. Beatty will co-present “Delicate Carrier vs. Carrier Relationships: Disputes Between Primary and Excess Carriers.” In this presentation, Ms. Beatty will join William Kobokovich, William Scott Patterson and Gretchen Ramos in discussing the duties owing between primary and excess carriers, the excess carrier’s decisions to make regarding involvement, steps to take after a case goes in excess of the primary limits, legal and ethical issues, and the possibility of equitable subrogation.

Ms. Beatty’s practice exclusively involves commercial civil litigation, particularly insurance coverage and bad faith. She has earned the professional insurance designations of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM). She also earned her Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) designation in October 2012. Ms. Beatty has been invited to speak at many bad faith insurance conferences over the course of her career.
