Tracy Miller to Speak at “Employment Law: Beyond the Basics” Seminar
Shareholder Tracy Miller will speak at the 11th Annual CLE seminar “Employment Law: Beyond the Basics” next month in Tacoma. Ms. Miller will join five other lawyers in presenting on various employment topics, including FLSA/wage & hour crackdown; advanced FMLA and ADA issues; sexual, racial, and other harassment and discrimination; the NLRB’s expanding agenda; the ACA/Obamacare: what employers need to know; privacy and social media in the workplace; and termination best practices.
Ms. Miller is a frequent presenter at professional education programs on sexual harassment, disability discrimination and accommodation, hiring and firing, constitutional issues in schools, and family and medical leave issues. Her practice focuses on labor and employment litigation and school law. She has extensive experience advising and representing public and private employers, including commercial and nonprofit corporations, in all aspects of their employment relationships. She has litigation experience in state and federal courts, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and before the National Labor Relations Board, the Public Employment Relations Commission, the Office of Administrative Hearings, and the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, and represents employers in grievance and arbitration proceedings pursuant to collective bargaining agreements.
