Sacred Heart Shelter’s Urban Soup Luncheon Sponsored By Karr Tuttle Campbell
Karr Tuttle Campbell is once again pleased to sponsor the Sacred Heart Shelter’s 19th annual Urban Soup luncheon (formerly Soupline) on Friday, October 14, 2011. It will take place at Seattle’s Plymouth Congregational Church (Sixth Ave. and University St.), from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All proceeds from this event go directly to Sacred Heart Shelter’s operating budget. The shelter offers a temporary home-like refuge for homeless families and single women, while they work to stabilize their lives and find permanent housing. The shelter helps residents develop goals; obtain health and dental care; get job training, parent training and childcare; and connect to other helpful resources in the community.
Urban Soup 2011 will feature delicious soups from local restaurants such as Canlis, Matt’s in the Market, Ivar’s, Taste Restaurant at SAM, and many others! Macrina and Grand Central bakeries will supply a variety of artesian breads, to help soak up every last bit of delicious soup! In addition, there will be live music by the Overhauls and fun door prizes.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling Sacred Heart Shelter at (206) 285-7489.
