KTC Organizes First of Three Part Seminar Series for Emerging Companies
Karr Tuttle Campbell attorneys Alex Modelski and Chris Brown will speak next month at the first of a three-part seminar series entitled “Critical Legal Issues for Emerging Companies.” This series is held in partnership with Seattle Angel, and focuses on informing startups and other emerging companies about essential employment issues, such as hiring, retaining and managing employees, as well as IP strategies and raising capital among others.
In the first installment of this series, “What’s New in Equity Compensation” Mr. Brown and Mr. Modelski will discuss new trends in the design and granting of equity compensation, including stock options, RSUs, restricted stock and LLC units. They will review practical issues related to vesting, size of equity awards, managing expectations, tax withholding details, stock option pricing and monetization of awards on an exit transaction or termination of service. It will be held on Tuesday, May 17 at 4pm at SURF Incubator in downtown Seattle.
