Employment Department to Host Tacoma Seminar on “Significant Employment Issues Facing Small Businesses”

Small business, though subject to most of the same laws and regulations that apply to large corporations, often do not have dedicated human resource departments or legal staff to ensure compliance with them. Yet compliance is crucial to avoid lawsuits and audits. This seminar will provide an overview of some of the most significant employment law issues facing small businesses. Topics will include:

  • Best Practices for Hiring, Disciplining and Terminating Employees

  • Compliance with Wage and Hour Law
  • Investigating and Defending Claims of Discrimination and Retaliation

Courtyard by Marriott – 1515 Commerce Street in downtown Tacoma
