Sameena Habib is an associate attorney in Karr Tuttle Campbell’s Intellectual Property & Technology and Emerging Company practice groups. She provides strategic guidance and legal counseling to start-ups as well as large, established companies in technology and commercial transactions. Ms. Habib also counsels clients in securing and enforcing a wide range of intellectual property rights (i.e. patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret).

Sameena Habib is an Associate Attorney in Karr Tuttle Campbell’s Intellectual Property & Technology and Emerging Company practice groups. She provides strategic guidance and legal counseling to start-ups as well as large, established companies in technology and commercial transactions. She structures, drafts and negotiates contracts involving technology and IP licensing, software as a service (SaaS), cloud computing, collaboration and development, manufacturing and supply, resale, non-disclosure, marketing, corporate partnerships, as well as consulting and professional services. She drafts terms of use and privacy policies and counsels clients in data security, EU-U.S. Privacy Shield compliance, regulatory compliance, and open source software. She has experience advising companies in a variety of industries, including software, mobile applications, aerospace, payment processing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and e-commerce.

Ms. Habib also counsels clients in securing and enforcing a wide range of intellectual property rights (patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret). She represents clients in trademark registration, including brand selection and trademark clearance. As a registered U.S. patent attorney, Ms. Habib manages large, global patent portfolios and represents clients in acquiring and maintaining patent rights. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel and Intellectual Property Sections as well as the International Trademark Association (INTA).

Earlier in her career, Ms. Habib worked in the technology transfer office of the University of Washington, drafting contracts and patent applications for University inventions. She also worked in-house at The Boeing Company.
