Overview

George Treperinas’ primary focus is in assisting clients with acquisitions, investments and liquidity events in connection with their business enterprises and real estate holdings. These events range from strategic to distressed situations, where he represents sellers, buyers, investors, lenders or creditors.

George assists real estate developers, owners, investors, buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants and lenders in his real estate practice providing these clients with a full range of real estate services. His real estate clients own, operate, develop and finance real estate projects including: multi-family, industrial, retail/shopping centers, offices, residential developments and warehouse properties.

George also works with closely held to publicly traded enterprises and high net-worth individuals, both within and outside of the United States in connection with formation, equity and debt financing, strategic planning and succession, mergers and acquisitions, financial restructurings and reorganizations, and general business needs. George represents lenders and borrowers in commercial loan transactions, including forbearances, modifications and refinances.

Over the course of his practice, George has been active in insolvency and bankruptcy matters where he has assisted his clients in connection with liquidity events and business reorganizations. His range of clients in such distressed situations include Chapter 11 debtors, lenders, creditor committees, trustees and creditors in numerous high-profile cases, including during the most recent 2006-2012 economic recession.
