Diana Carey Elected to the American College of Bankruptcy

Karr Tuttle Campbell congratulates Shareholder Diana Carey on her election to the American College of Bankruptcy.  This is an exclusive honor reserved for only the absolute best in bankruptcy law.  Ms. Carey chairs Karr Tuttle’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group and is active in many local bar and professional organizations.

The American College of Bankruptcy is an honorary professional and educational association of bankruptcy and insolvency professionals. It plays an important role in sustaining professional excellence and supports educational and pro bono efforts in local communities around the country.

Nominees for Fellows are extended an invitation to join based on a record of achievement in the insolvency process by professionals who have distinguished themselves in their practice and in their contribution to the insolvency field.  Criteria for selection include: the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, character, integrity, professional expertise and leadership in contributing to the enhancement of bankruptcy and insolvency processes; sustained evidence of scholarship, teaching, lecturing or writing on bankruptcy or insolvency; and commitment to elevate knowledge and understanding of the profession and public respect for the practice.  The College now has 831 Fellows, each selected by a Board of Regents from among recommendations of the Circuit Admissions Council in each federal judicial circuit and specially appointed Committees for Judicial and International Fellows. Ms. Carey will be the ninth member from Washington State.

The Induction Ceremony will take place on March 14, 2014 in Washington, D.C., and will be hosted by the Smithsonian Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture.  D.J. (Jan) Baker, Chair of the College, will preside over the ceremony.
