Ava has extensive experience in the areas of employment visas, EB-5, L, H-1B, TN, E-1/2, Extraordinary Alien, AOS, and Naturalization.
With respect to employment visa, Ava succeeded in bringing “Aliens of Extraordinary Ability” to work in the United States. This includes computer software engineers from Denmark and Germany, a bullet expert from South Africa, a seeds expert from Pakistan, an HIV researcher from Japan, a graphic designer from Spain, a forest economist from New Zealand, and a Tai Qi master from China, to name a few.
In the complex EB-5 practice, Ava is involved in the designation of regional centers and I-526 and I-829 for investors. Currently, she counsels two regional centers that are active in Washington State.
Ava served as Special Legal Counsel for a major Washington State government office from 2000 to 2009, handling employment-based immigration matters for this office across the state. Ava is one of the two Chinese law students who have ever won a full scholarship from Harvard University.
