Martin T. Crowder, former president and partner of Karr Tuttle Campbell, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2007. Marty joined the firm in 1965 and retired over 41 years later in 2006. He was a graduate of the University of Washington and the University of Washington Law School where he was a member of the Washington Law Review and Order of the Coif. During his long and distinguished career, he was active in the Federal, State, King County, and American Bar Associations, the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference, and the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. He also served for 30 years as a member of the Washington Bar Examiners Committee.
Marty was a man of great intellect and had a knack for inspiring confidence in people. Without artifice or pretension, Marty was able to convey his intelligence and competence to others. He was always one of Karr Tuttle Campbell’s most highly regarded attorneys by lawyers from both within and outside the firm. Marty will be deeply missed.
