Steven D. Robinson graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University in 1978 and from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1982.  While in law school, he served as the executive editor of the Idaho Law Review from 1981 to 1982.  Before entering private practice, Mr. Robinson served as an aide to Speaker of the House Thomas S. Foley.  Mr. Robinson’s practice emphasis is civil disputes, with a focus on tort, insurance, and commercial litigation.  Admitted to practice law in 1982, he has been a member of the firm since 1986 and was a member of the firm’s board of directors and management committee from 1995 to 1997.

Mr. Robinson has handled a broad range of litigation in federal and state courts in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.  He has tried numerous jury cases, mandatory and uninsured motorist arbitrations, and labor grievance proceedings.  He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Idaho State Bar, and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Robinson is the former editor of De Novo, a publication of the Washington State Bar Association, and served on the editorial board of the ABA’s Barrister magazine.  He has been a speaker on litigation matters at numerous legal education seminars.  Among his published appellate cases are:  Walker v. State of Washington, 121 Wn.2d 214, 848 P.2d 721 (1993) and Birchler v. Castello Land Co., 133 Wn.2d 106, 942 P.2d 968 (1997).  Mr. Robinson serves as a volunteer at the Seattle Emergency Housing Service and is a Boy Scout leader.  He is currently the Staff Captain of the Seattle Yacht Club, past President of the Seattle Chapter of the Gonzaga University Alumni Association, and a member of the Gonzaga University Board of Regents.
