Larry Ransom is a graduate of Amherst College (B.A., 1968), Teachers College at Columbia University (M.A. 1974), and The University of Wisconsin School of Law (J.D., 1977, Order of the Coif, Research and Writing Editor, Wisconsin Law Review). Mr. Ransom is a member of Karr Tuttle Campbell's Employment Relations Department and is the head of the firm's school law practice, representing public and private schools in Washington in matters ranging from employee relations, to education of children with disabilities, to commercial contract disputes. Mr. Ransom's practice also includes representation of corporate clients in employment relations issues.
During his twenty-nine years of practice in Washington, Mr. Ransom has handled educational and employment issues of all kinds before a multitude of courts and agencies, in litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings.
Mr. Ransom is active in the American, Washington State, and King County Bar Associations. He served as the Chairman of the Employment Law Subcommittee of the Washington Pattern Jury Instructions Committee, and serves on the Steering Committee for the Puget Sound Area Minority Clerkship Program. Mr. Ransom is a member and past president of the Washington Council of School Attorneys. |
