Mr. Walters is an experienced litigator, primarily handling contract disputes, product liability claims, and other commercial litigation matters, as well as aviation-related litigation. Since joining the firm in 1979, he has represented clients in scores of arbitrations and trials in state and federal courts. He has been the lead trial attorney in dozens of arbitrations and trials in which the amounts at stake have exceeded one million dollars. He has served as a court-appointed arbitrator in several civil cases each year since 1988.
Mr. Walters was recognized by Seattle Magazine in 2006 as one of Seattle’s “Top 155 Lawyers,” by Washington Law and Politics in 2005, 2006 and 2007 as a “Super Lawyer,” and by Seattle Business Monthly in 2007 as one of “Seattle’s Top 87 Business Lawyers.”
Some of the larger corporations Mr. Walters has represented include General Motors, Accuflex Industrial, Cessna Aircraft, Piper Aircraft, Bell Helicopter-Textron, Textron-Lycoming,Teledyn-Continental Motors, Kawasaki Motors, British Airways, Nippon Suisan Kaisha., Outboard Marine Corporation, General Electric, Siemens, U.S. Bank of Oregon, Northwest Airlines, Delta Airlines, the Boy Scouts of America, Bethlehem Steel, West Coast Paper, Aeroquip-Vickers, Talgo, and Todd Shipyards.
Mr. Walters has been a speaker at seminars on a variety of litigation topics. He authored the product liability chapter in the three-volume preventive law treatise "Legal Compliance Checkups," edited by Robert Hughes (1986).
Mr. Walters has been a Karr Tuttle Campbell shareholder since 1987.
