Bruce E. Larson is a graduate of Princeton University (B.A. 1972, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and the University of Chicago (J.D., 1975, Beale Prize for Writing and Oral Argument). Mr. Larson focuses his practice on litigation, with particular emphasis on commercial, general tort and other complex matters. He has been president of the firm since 1994 and chairperson of the litigation department since 1991.
Mr. Larson represents businesses, organizations and individuals in a wide variety of litigation in both federal and state courts. He is active in the American, Washington State and King County Bar Associations, the Washington Association of Defense Trial Lawyers and the International Association of Defense Counsel.
Mr. Larson is a recipient of a Washington Supreme Court Award for Outstanding Service in behalf of the Washington Pattern Jury Instruction Committee and has chaired the Committee's work groups on Trade Secrets and Commercial Litigation. He has been recognized in Washington Law & Politics Magazine as one of Washington State’s “Super Lawyers,” in Washington CEO Magazine as a “Top Attorney” and in Seattle Magazine as one of Seattle’s “Top 155 Attorneys” and was also recognized in 2007 by Seattle Business Monthly as one of Seattle’s “Top 87 Business Attorneys”. He has been a contributor and speaker for numerous continuing professional education seminars including serving for several years as the lecturer and instructor regarding depositions for the nationally recognized Washington State Bar Association Skills Training Seminar. He has also written numerous papers and published articles on a wide array of litigation related subjects including, for instance, "Ethics in Alternative Dispute Resolution" and "Defense of Class Certification Motions in Monster Litigation.
